Today, people are utilizing information technology as a vehicle to spread media throughout the world. “The ability to use information and communications technology is now assumed by most commentators to be a prerequisite to living and working in the ‘information society (Selwyn, 2003).” The use of the media on the Internet has sky rocketed over the last two decades. As media and the Internet continue to grow and make access to media more convenient for people, the future of media on the Internet could serve as mobilization for social, business, and political issues, or could spiral downward as a negative impact on society.
